Sewing Class!

Don't forget to come to the Sewing Class!
It will be so much fun.
Kristen Gedeborg will be teaching us how to make a pillowcase.
All you need to bring is your own fabric.

She said to buy 100% cotton fabric. 2 different patterns. Wash and iron your fabric before you come just in case of shrinking and so it will look pretty when we are finished tomorrow.

Measurements for the fabric:
3/4 of a yard for your first pattern (or main body of the pillowcase)
1/2 of a yard for the second pattern (or the hem of the pillowcase)

She also suggested adding an 1/8 of a yard to each pattern if you buy from Walmart. Their fabric seems to shrink a lot when you wash it.

Can't wait to see you there and to see our finished projects!

Slight Change of Schedule

Just so all of you know, our Relief Society meeting will be a little different this Sunday, February 7. President Harris (the stake president) would like to meet with our Relief Society and the 74th ward's Relief Society to discuss the power of the Priesthood. I'm so excited to hear what he has to say to us! So we will still be meeting at 1 pm with Relief Society first, we'll just be meeting in the gym with the 74th ward's Relief Society. I hope to see you all there. It will be great to have a meeting with President Harris!

Also, on February 14, we will be having a different meeting schedule. Our stake will be combining that day to have a general authority meet with us. I don't know yet who it is, but I know it will be one of the 12 apostles! We will meet that morning from 10-11:30 am, and that will be our meeting for the day. Hooray for morning Church and for spending time with an apostle! It's so exciting!

Top middle picture: Noelle and Breeana

Botton left: Rachel
Bottom right: Lindsey, Sarah, Lauren, Amber, Kristen, Lindsy, and Elizabeth.

Left to right: Julia and her daughter Hannah, Lindsy and her daughter Nora, Kristen, Cara, Megan and her daughter Elli, Noelle, and Kristal.

This pic was taken last minute... after some people left! It was at our get-to-know-you-better breakfast social. That's why we are all still in our P.J.'s :)

It would be a long list to name off every girl in the picture... sorry!
This was our most recent activity called "Spouse Appreciation Night". It was so fun! We all got cozy and gathered around the little tables to decorate our jars for our husbands. They all turned out so cute! I think everyone was pleased and happy that they came.

I know everyone is sick of seeing my jar... I wish I would've taken pics of the other jars. They are much cuter than mine. But you get the idea :) If you still want to make one contact Cara. We have some leftovers and its not too late! Valentine's Day is still a couple weeks away. We filled them with the packet that the Bishop handed out in his marriage class this past Sunday. It is a list of ideas of how to spoil your spouse. Pretty cute.

We have such a fun ward and a fantastic group of women! Thanks for all the support on our activities last semester and this semester. We love having so many of you coming to enjoy one another's company.

Love, The Relief Society Activities Committee
